Appointee for Mayor Giuliani
Stewart F. Lane was a member of NYC Mayor Giuliani's transition committee, serving to select a head of the Department for Cultural Affairs and the Department of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting
. He accepted the Mayor's invitation to serve on the Board of Governors of City Center of Music and Drama at Lincoln Center. Mr. Lane also produced the Mayor's rebuttal at the Inner Circle Show
in 1994 and 1995.
Theater Owner
Mr. Lane is co-owner and co-operator of the Palace Theatre in New York City with the
Nederlander Organization, and was directly involved in the renovation and restoration of the theatre. He is currently looking to purchase another Broadway or Off-Broadway theatre.
Restaurateur & Landlord
Mr. Lane was involved in the renovation of a warehouse  which is now the home of the Tribeca Film Centre and the Tribeca Grill, which he owns with Robert DeNiro. The Producers' Network
